Cathy Waddell

Darian Curren, MSN, APRN, CNM

A lifelong resident of Marion, Cathy Waddell grew up with a strong commitment to community service. She graduated from Pleasant High School and now channels her professional expertise as a marketing professional for a family-owned business in Marion. Cathy, along with her husband, Michael, and their two daughters, is proud to call this community home.

Cathy is a force for positive change, dedicating her time to creating environments where people feel valued, supported, and encouraged to grow. She is also the founder of Psalm 139 Ministries, an organization that provides free prom dresses to local girls in need, empowering young women to feel confident, loved and cherished. As an active member in various local organizations, Cathy is deeply committed to community engagement and is passionate about building initiatives that elevate, love, and empower people. Through empowHER, she hopes to make a lasting impact on the lives of girls and women by addressing critical issues like period poverty and health education.

Darian Curren, MSN, APRN, CNM

Darian Curren, a Certified Nurse Midwife, brings her healthcare expertise and a heart for advocacy to empowHER. Also a graduate of Pleasant High School, Darian is married to Kyle Curren and is a devoted mother to their five children. With a background in women’s health, she is a fierce advocate for girls and women of all ages, dedicated to breaking the stigma around menstruation and ensuring access to education and resources for menstrual health.

Darian’s passion extends beyond her role in healthcare. She has used her pageant platform to raise awareness about the importance of women’s health, fostering a more open and supportive environment for all. Through her work with empowHER, Darian aims to make sure that every girl and woman in the community has the resources, support, and encouragement they need to live a fulfilling and healthy life. Known for her kindness and dedication, Darian is an encourager and advocate who believes that every woman deserves the opportunity to reach her full potential.
